Kona Cooperative

Agricultural processing and cooperative development on the Big Island, connecting Kona coffee and local producers to broader markets.

Overview

About This Project

The Kona Cooperative brings together Big Island agricultural producers — coffee growers, macadamia nut farms, honey producers, and specialty crop farmers — into a shared processing, packaging, and marketing cooperative. By pooling resources and infrastructure, small producers gain access to commercial-grade processing facilities, shared branding and marketing, and distribution channels that would be impossible to reach individually. The cooperative model preserves the independence of individual farms while creating collective market power.
